Mr Damien Tucker attained his medical degree in Cape Town, South Africa in 2007. He relocated to the UK where he completed his MD through the University of Bristol and his orthopaedic training in the Severn Deanery in Bristol. He has undergone specialist training in Australia and the United Kingdom completing fellowships in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (2022), Hand and Wrist Surgery (2023) as well as a Major Trauma Fellowship (2023).
Mr Tucker has been a substantive consultant at North Bristol since 2024 managing general trauma as well as complex upper limb injuries including those requiring orthoplastic reconstructions. Having experienced healthcare systems across 3 continents including differing ends of the socio-economic spectrum has helped Mr Tucker to develop a keen interest in patients and their family’s needs and goals.
