UK-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon practising at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and one of the UK’s busiest Trauma Units. Undertakes Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence instructions relating to all aspects of spinal pathology.

Additional roles: Audit Lead for Trauma & Orthopaedics, spinal representative on the Research Committee, and active contributor to clinical governance, research, service improvement, and undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Miss Aziz specialises in the assessment and surgical management of the full spectrum of adult spinal disorders, with particular expertise in cauda equina syndrome, metastatic spinal cord compression, spinal trauma, degenerative spinal conditions, spinal infections, and cervical and thoracic myelopathy. She co-authored Cauda Equina Syndrome – An Overview, published in the Journal of Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2023, and was lead author of the international SCOOT (Spinal Cord Compression Outcomes Of Treatment) Delphi Study, published in 2026, establishing consensus recommendations for outcome reporting in metastatic spinal cord compression.
Miss Aziz was among the first cohort of surgeons to complete the prestigious UK Spinal Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellowship, before undertaking further advanced spinal fellowship training at the Leeds Centre for Neurosciences. She is also among a select number of UK spinal surgeons to have completed both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spinal fellowships, providing comprehensive expertise in the management of complex spinal disorders.
Miss Aziz has an active academic portfolio with peer-reviewed publications and national and international presentations in spinal surgery, spinal oncology, trauma, and outcomes research. She was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Teacher Award by the University of Leicester Medical School and has completed formal medico-legal training through Bond Solon. She provides independent, balanced, and evidence-based expert opinions for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases.
